Proverbs 22:6 AWANA Clubs of Grace Bible Church is an exciting, Christ-centered ministry for children from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. AWANA meets every Wednesday during the school year from 6:30PM - 8:00PM. Nursery & Toddlers We believe our pre-school ministry- the nursery and toddler children is a necessary ministry, one that facilitates the family in bringing their children to Jesus Christ. It is NOT a babysitting service. According to Deut. 6:7-9 and Matthew 19:13-15, we are commanded to diligently teach God's Word to our children and bring them to Jesus without getting in their way. We are therefore, committed to creating a visually inviting, safe, clean environment with appropriate equipment and toys, a toddler curriculum, biblical books and music tapes, and staffed by trained and dedicated adults and teens. We want some of our children's first words to be "Jesus loves me," and the word "church" to bring smiles to their faces. Children's Church Sunday School Capable and dedicated volunteers, under the direction of Grace Bible Church staff, provide outstanding oversight of the children during their time with us. On Sunday evening, a special program is presented in which the families of children taking part in VBS are invited to watch their children demonstrate what they have learned during the week. Refreshments are served after the service and families are also encouraged to meet with their children's teachers. The evening is extremely exciting! Our youth ministry functions with the help of faithful volunteers to meet the spiritual and social needs of teenagers. We offer Middle School (6th - 8th) and Senior High (9th - 12th) Sunday School Classes, AWANA, Junior Varsity, 24-7 Wednesday, midweek programs and Sunday evening youth services. Many different activities for fun, ministry and outreach are planned in addition to these regular meetings. Adult Ministries "Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love." Ephesians 4:15-16 Grace Bible Church offers many ministries designed to help adults grow in their walk with the Lord and exercise their spiritual gifts to build up the Body of Christ. Small Group Bible Studies Adult Sunday School Men's Ministries Women's Ministries Worship & Praise "Sing for joy in the Lord, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. Psalms 33:1-3 The Worship & Music ministry at Grace Bible Church is a vital part of our corporate praise and glory to God.
Children's Church is an educational ministry for pre-school and elementary age children. Children's Church begins at 10:15 AM and is dismissed at the end of the worship service. This is not a repeat of the Sunday School hour, but provides a second hour of instruction. The 2 and 3 yr olds have reinforcement and expansion of what they learned in the Sunday School hour. Pre-K/K through 6th graders have different age-appropriate curriculum.
Children's Sunday School is a ministry which teaches God’s Word to children from the age of 2 through the 12th grade. Through Bible study, scripture memorization, prayer, praise, topic-related arts & crafts, and music, children learn the basics of the Christian faith, and are taught how to apply what they learn to daily life. Children's Sunday School takes place before the morning worship service time beginning at 9:00 AM .
Vacation Bible School is an annual outreach event open to all children from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. VBS takes place on weekday evenings, usually from 6:30 to 8:30 PM , for one week during the summer vacation.
Small groups are made up of 6-10 people that meet bi-weekly for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Small groups are a vital part of church life at Grace Bible Church , offering the opportunity to develop close and intimate friendships and to become accountable to a group of caring fellow believers.
Grace Bible Church offers adult Sunday School classes that offer the believer a great opportunity for further study of God's Word, and provides a forum for discussion and prayer with a group of peers in a setting which is smaller and more intimate than that of our worship services. Our adult classes also make great support groups, offering the opportunity to share prayer requests and praises and to form lasting relationships with fellow believers in a friendly and exciting atmosphere.
Men's ministries at Grace Bible Church are designed to help men grow in their walk with the Lord. Through men's accountability groups, and events such as retreats and men's breakfasts (featuring special guest speakers), it is our goal to help men become more accountable... more devoted men... better spiritual leaders in their homes, while enjoying fellowship and forming lasting friendships with other Christian men.
The Ladies Bible Study, Missionary Fellowship and Deaconesses at Grace Bible Church are organized so that women can exercise their God-given spiritual gifts by ministering to the needs of others and grow in their walk with Lord in Bible studies that specifically help them be more devoted women. These women also minister to our missionary families through prayer, correspondence and in other practical ways, correspond with our college students away from home, help with preparations for special dinners, coordinate and service needs such as: prayer requests, needed meals/childcare, newcomer socials, comfort/encouragement, special event food and decorations, and hospitality. Strive to have a women's retreat , or fellowship day designed to encourage women in their personal walk with the Lord while reaching out to those in our surrounding community.
God's Helping Hands Clothing Outlet
Grace Bible Church also ministers to the physical needs of our community through our 'God's Helping Hands' clothing outlet ministry. We maintain a clothing outlet located to the left of the church building in the yellow parsonage's lower level. The outlet is open every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM when the public can freely select clothing items they can use or take for others in need.
Note - God's Helping Hands Ministry will be closed Thanksgiving Eve on Nov. 25th to get things ready for the Christmas store.
Regularly, a number of ladies from Grace lovingly sort through bags of donated children and adult clothing. Donations of clothing that are new or in good condition are welcome. Clothing donations can be made any time during the day and can be dropped off in the storage shed located adjacent to the parsonage.
