What’s happening at Grace and where can I help?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church. Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Children’s Ministry

At Kids Connection, your children are important to us.  Their issues are real and they desperately need hope.  We are committed to tech them how Bible Truth connects with their real life issues.  We use God’s perfect Word to give hope and empower them to live life with confidence and courage.

We take safety seriously.  All teachers and helpers have current security clearances and our children’s area is secured by state of the art video surveillance as well as a check-in/out system. If you are new please be prepared to supply some information to help us keep your children safe.

Each Sunday morning from 9 am to 10 am, our children are taught by dedicated teachers to connect children to Christ and disciple them to know Him, worship Him, trust Him and obey Him and provide a safe, fun and loving environment in which children can grow. They are taught age appropriate and culturally relevant, biblically sound lessons and also share the gospel weekly, including showing Christ’s love for children in word and deed.

Global Missions

Grace Church actively participates in world-wide, Christ-exalting missionary endeavors through missionaries and agencies/organizations that are in agreement with the doctrinal statement of the church. The Missions Team is responsible for oversight of all mission’s activities which are a function of the church. Grace Bible Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The missions Grace Bible Church supports are African Inland Mission (AIM), Assoc. of Baptist for World Evangelism (ABWE), BCM International, Centers for Apologetics Research (CFAR), Friends of Israel (FIO), Global Mission of South America (GMSA), Hebrew Christian Fellowship (HCF), IBM Global, Nashua, NH, and Transworld Radio (TWR). Some local missions we support are Jewel of Schuylkill County, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), and Hope Rescue Mission. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

God’s Helping Hands Outlet

Grace Bible Church ministers to the spiritual and material needs of our community through God’s Helping Hands Outlet. This ministry primarily provides men’s, women’s and children’s clothing to those in need in our community. The outlet is open to the public every Wednesday and the 1st Saturday of January, March, June, September and December at 10 AM to 2 PM. The primary mission of this ministry is to lead clients to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through the witness and testimonies, and secondly, by being Christ’s hands and feet in meeting their material needs. Everything at God’s Helping Hands Outlet is free.

Greeters

The Greeters at our church fill a very important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, and providing direction. The Greeters are a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Ministry of Helps

This ministry is designed to assist the Pastor by working with the Deacons in ministering to the needs of the overall congregation – specifically to women, children, elderly, and those in distress – with loving kindness and sympathy. These are also responsible for the preparation and setting up of Communion on the first Sunday of each month and help prepare female baptismal candidates for baptism.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small home fellowships known as Grace Groups which are Bible studies held in member homes and on campus. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people.  (Grace Groups meet in the spring and winter)
  • Women’s Bible Studies:  Currently meeting from September through May, All women are welcome to attend our Ladies AM Bible Study on Tuesdays at 10 AM or our Ladies PM Bible Study on Mondays at 6:30 PM.
  • Men’s Bible Study is developed to equip and nurture men to cultivate Christ-like leaders for home, church, workplace and community thru gathering at the semi-monthly Bible Study which meets on Wednesdays at 7 PM from September thru May.
  • Sunday School Opportunities – Beginning at 9:00 am each Sunday we offer several Sunday School classes for you to be involved in. We have women’s, men’s, youth, children, a senior adult class, nursery, and junior church.

Youth Ministry

Our Summer Sunday Youth Group meets from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm where teens grades 6th through 12th get to participate in their own ministry. This ministry will lovingly challenge those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to come to faith in Him and to encourage Christian teenagers to worship, witness, serve, love and live for God with all their hearts in a safe environment where teens can interact with their peers.

Worship Team

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play instruments and some are vocalists.  All are volunteers who are an important part of this vital ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
